The company FotoStar from Dubrovnik (Croatia) has been on the market for more than 20 years. Due to their efforts and quality, they quickly gained the trust of their clients, says Mr. Kristian Kamic, owner. With the purchase of the first printer for printing larger format photos, he tells us, a new era began for this, then still small company. Progress and investment have continued over the years, thanks to which they are today one of the leading digital printers in Dubrovnik.
“We specialize in the production and installation of photo wallpapers, as well as the wrapping of cars and buses. We also do a high-quality prints for museums and art galleries,” says Mr. Kamic. Investing in a 4th generation HP Latex printer, specifically the HP Latex 700W, was our reason for visiting.

The Foto Star company is one of the long-term loyal users of HP Latex solutions. This is confirmed by Mr. Kamic. “We had all series of HP Latex technology printers and we were very satisfied with the durability and quality of the machines. Speaking about the main reasons for the investment, he first of all emphasizes the quality of printing and the possibility of printing white. “With the new HP Latex, we will now be able to offer even better print quality. There is also the possibility of printing white color, which we have so far lacked in our area. It allows us to provide a finer final product to a large number of clients who are involved in the production of wine or souvenirs.
The most important thing for us is a satisfied client and an advantage over the competition. The white color opens up a whole range of potentially new jobs. Apart from white, the color of the other colors is significantly better and more realistic”, says Mr. Kamic.
He also states that the big advantage is visible in the printing speed. Another one of the important characteristics and benefits of the new HP Latex 700W, highlighted by Mr. Kamic is the drying temperature of materials that allows the use of a larger range of materials, especially textiles that are used for the decoration of tourist and hospitality facilities.
