If there’s one technology that marked this year’s drupa fair, it’s inkjet. Kyocera Document Solutions Europe also had its novelty and European premiere in this segment. They presented a color inkjet printer for sheet-fed printing – TASKalfa Pro 55000c.
Using its rich knowledge in the field of ink jet technology, Kyocera entered the inkjet commercial printing segment in 2019. The first step in this direction was the model TASKalfa Pro 15000c presented at virtual.drupi 2022.
Two years later, they introduced the new, improved TASKalfa Pro 55000c model. However, it should be emphasized that the TASKalfa Pro 15000c continues to be an essential part of Kyocera’s growing product portfolio.
The launch of the new printer is a great success for Kyocera, said Mr. Deon Wepener, production printing expert at Kyocera.
„The TASKalfa Pro 55000c achieves print quality comparable to offset printing and high print durability. It offers exceptional color reproduction and high-resolution printing using the latest technologies developed in Kyocera’s laboratories. These include an inkjet head with a resolution of 1200dpi and edge enhancement technology that accurately reproduces lines and contours of text.
It allows the use of coated offset paper and is intended for the production of brochures, books, direct mail and other materials that require high image resolution“, said Mr. Wepener.
As he told us, the machine also features a unique infrared drying system and takes only about 1.2 seconds to dry.
