Printing house Kovacic from Omis, Croatia has been family-owned since 1990 when they started their business. They strive to enable their clients to get top-quality products- design, printing and various finishing options in one place. Although for a long time their basis was offset printing, today it has been largely replaced by digital technology. The installation of the MGI JETvarnish 3D One finishing machine, installed by Konica Minolta Croatia, is the reason why we visited them. We have talked with Mrs. Anja Kovacic, the owner.
Why did you decide to buy a finishing machine with a varnish option?
Additional finishing options such as varnish have become standard in the production of more luxurious products. The decision to invest was made in the desire to meet the needs of our clients and to attract new ones. When it comes to the offer, with this machine we will definitely stand out from competition.
What are your expectations from the machine and for which jobs / applications did you primarily intend it?
Our goal is to make our already existing products such as labels, invitations, diplomas, business cards, book covers, brochures, catalogs, etc. visually even more attractive.
According to you, how important is to offer the market a product that will set it apart from the competition?
I think that in today’s market it is not possible to survive without constant investment in new technologies. Something that is revolutionary today is becoming the standard soon; if you do not stand out in the quality and width of the offer you will not be recognized. MGI JETvarnish 3D One allows us to stay away from the competition because we can offer a full range of new, innovative products with tactile 3D effects.This appearance will make our customers products recognizable and more competitive in the market as well. We believe that our future is in small to medium runs of products with added value. Konica Minolta with MGI digital technology and machines fits perfectly in this story. The ever-present desire to go “out of the box” of classic printing and to invest in new technologies is what keeps us stable in the market all these years.
