At the beginning of April, the graphic industry of the Adria / Balkan region was echoed by the big news – the Slovenian company Pako d.o.o. became part of the Igepa Group. This merger of regional giants took effect on April 1, 2022.
As a reminder, the Igepa Group is one of the leading wholesale chains in Europe with more than 50,000 customers in the printing industry. The group’s wide sales range includes papers and cartons for the printing industry, transport packaging and solutions for the advertising industry, as well as machinery, equipment, raw materials and technical support services.
At more than 75 locations in 24 countries and with more than 3,500 employees and together with strategic partners in Europe, the Igepa group generates revenue of 1.6 billion euros a year.
„This is an extremely important event for both companies, our employees and clients. This is a merger of two very compatible organizations that share similar values and practices in their business activities “, commented the Igepa group.
With this move, Igepa separated its Viscom business unit in Croatia and Slovenia and it connected it to Pako. Igepa Plana will remain focused on the trade of graphic and office papers, cartons and transport packaging.
Both sides point out that Igepa Pako remains a reliable partner for all its customers and suppliers.
