The Milan edition of Viscom has become a traditional platform for Nanodiy, a company that has been unveiling innovations there for nearly a decade.
Last year’s show will be remembered for the debut of the most powerful UV DTF printer we’ve seen to date. Its size and build make it suitable for industrial environments, unlike previous UV DTF printers which were often desktop versions.
Danijel Galinec, CEO of Nanodiy, remarked that the printer weighs nearly half a ton—making it an outlier even in the UV DTF category in terms of mass. What connects it to this segment is the printing process and the product it’s meant for—stickers.
When asked why Italy was chosen as a key market, Mr. Galinec explained that although Nanodiy isn’t exclusively focused on Italy, the country represents a significant portion of their sales.
“Nanodiy has built a strong brand in the Italian graphic market over the past ten years. One reason is our solid relationship with Italian distributors, and the other is our drive for innovation. Italians are quick to adopt new technologies, and we strive to always be ahead by launching the newest innovations. On the first day of the fair, we already received two orders for the new Nanodiy UV DTF Gold industrial printer—from customers who already use Nanodiy printers in their facilities. Our users are growing, and we’re here to support them with advanced technology,” he shared.
A Major Highlight at Viscom Milan
The UV DTF Gold was developed on a completely new and robust platform. It’s designed for printing on various media—from classic transfer film used for sticker production, to direct printing on flexible materials such as magnets or leather.
Each printer is customized for the specific jobs of the client and can be configured for CMYK, CMYK+RGB, or additional channels for varnish, white, or adhesive ink.
Another key innovation is the integration of a servo motor into the transport system, allowing for inline work with metallic foils and enabling the creation of high-quality metallic stickers.
Production Process
“We manufacture standard DTF printers for stock in several versions—30, 45, and 60 cm. After ordering, these can be further customized with specific printhead configurations and color options based on the client’s needs. But unlike those, the new UV DTF Gold printer will be built entirely to order. It will not be stocked but constructed from the ground up based on the exact application requirements of the customer,” Mr. Galinec explained.
Through this innovative approach, Nanodiy continues to demonstrate why it remains one of the leaders in the industry
