The company Tepede, which is, among other things, the exclusive distributor of OKI Label printers for Croatia, in the fall of 2020 at the Print21 fair in Zagreb, presented a series of OKI Label printers. The series consists of two models: OKI Pro1040 and OKI Pro1050. The last one in addition to the standard CMYK also has the option of printing in white. At the fair in Zagreb, the model with white color was also seen by Croatian company Print dizajn Ltd. They concluded that it meets their needs and decided to invest.
The company Print dizajn is mainly engaged in the printing of labels for the needs of the company Tinktura. Tinktura is a company specializing in the production and sale of natural cosmetics and natural products. Tinktura belongs to the segment of customers who do not always need large runs of labels. They also do not want to accumulate stocks in the warehouse. But what they want is quality printing, vivid colors and a label cut to format or in a roll at the time and in the quantities needed. So they needed an in-house solution for on-demand label printing.
One or thousand labels
They decided for the digital LED printer OKI Pro1050 with white color. The company Print dizajn, with the investment in this printer, got the opportunity to print both shorter and larger runs, the ability to react instantly and, depending on the need, print one or a thousand labels, whatever.
With white they got the ability to print on completely black or any color, smooth, glossy, matte, structured, satin paper or synthetic material (polypropylene, polyester).
In addition to the printer itself, the company Print dizajn also invested in accompanying finishing equipment. It is a Virgo cutter, which cuts, separates and removes the finished label. The printed label is placed in a computer-controlled cutter – Digital Label Finisher. At the request of the client, precisely cuts out any shape of the label and, if necessary, laminates it.
