It has been a little over a year since the kind of inconspicuous entry of DTF technology into the Adria / Balkan printing region. But today, DTF technology is in full swing. This is supported by the fact that installations are not necessarily always directly related to the graphic industry.
Nanodiy company is one of the leading companies in the region in digital technology of thermal transfer printing on textiles and other thermostable substrates. Recently, Rost Sport installed its most powerful model – the Nanodiy DTF Premium line for digital production of heat transfer films.

The company Rost Sport, as Mr. Ivan Trtanj, team lead manager, told us, is primarily engaged in the sale of sports equipment. One of their most important and successful programs is the sale of jerseys to sports clubs. In this program, the buyer of the jersey expects to be equipped with numbers, the club’s emblem and possibly the sponsor’s logo.
“So far, we have used print & cut technology and heat transfer foils for printing on jerseys. In certain cases, we supplied ready-made films from screen printing workshops. However, screen printers were not happy when we ordered 15 or 20 emblems. On the other side, we were not happy when we had a design with a lot of small details. It took us several hours to clean the heat transfer film before printing on the jersey. Unfortunately, there are few clubs in Croatia which order a hundred jerseys. Generally, we deal with smaller quantities that create a burden in production”, says Mr. Trtanj.
The problems they encountered forced them to constantly question how to better solve the printing of small runs. With Nanodiy DTF Premium, they have solved the problem of small runs, which make up the largest part of their business, and they can do them easier, faster and, of course, less expensive.
