After two long years, the fair of graphic technologies and solutions, Print21 Belgrade, gathered all lovers of the print on March 10 and 11. The second Print21 fair was held in the space of Belexpocenter in Belgrade, and organized by the regional magazine for graphic industry – Print Magazin.
The Print21 Belgrade fair is the first event and gathering of the graphic industry of Serbia since market opening after the lockdown and the easing of epidemiological measures. That is why it aroused great interest, from both exhibitors and visitors who did not hide their satisfaction with the reunion of the industry in the way of the “old normal”. The fair, everyone agreed, met all expectations.
From entry level to real industrial solutions
Tn the last two years technology manufacturers and distributors have not had the opportunity to present their offer and innovations to a wider audience. The Print 21 fair was recognized by many as an opportunity to do so.
A total of 13 companies presented their offer. Sorted alphabetically: Biroexim, Difol, Everest-Epson, Everest-StarJet, Fortuna Digital, Igepa Cartacell, Konica Minolta, New Name, Oracal Polikarbonati, Sitotehnika, Symbol Group, Toscana Systems and Xpro.
A total of 13 exhibition spaces showed truly diverse solutions. Starting from digital production printers, latex and UV printers and cutters, DTG and DTF printers, thermal presses, print & cut solutions, eco solvent printers, to UV flatbad solutions, digital finishing solutions and software ERP system.
Visitors, who really came from all over the region, agreed that the setting of the exhibited machines is very strong and that everyone could find a solution according to their needs. It is difficult to single out what was of the greatest interest. Textiles have been in the focus of many in recent years, especially DTG and DTF. So, the interest in this segment is understandable. Especially because at the fair were solutions from entry level to real industrial machines.
Sheet-proof production printers, characterized by excellent print quality, increasing print speed and media width, also attracted visitors. Interest in large format printers, a segment that is perhaps most affected by the pandemic, also shows that the situation is getting better.
Print21 has once again proven that narrowly specialized fairs with a targeted audience are indispensable to the printing industry.
Interesting workshops with coffee
During the two days of the fair, a short educational program was organized. Four interesting topics were discussed at Coffee Corner provided by Print Magazin.
The first day, Mr. Zoran Bradic from the company Difol, Mr. Viktor Perolo, independent consultant and Mr. Dejan Stevanov from Symbol Group, tried to bring all the secrets of DTG and DTF technology closer to the visitors.
After them, Ms. Spasenija Bozanic from the company Toscana Systems, introduced the printers to the concept of ERP solutions and explained why graphic production is increasingly difficult to imagine without such a solution.
The second day was dedicated to the challenges of white printing in UV and latex printers. Mr. Ivan Stanojlovic from the company Sitotehnika and Mr. Sasa Popovic, from the company New Name, broke the myth about the problems with white color in UV printers. As for latex technology, Mr. Nenad Rudic and Mr. Stefan Lalovic from Fortuna Digital explained that the new generation of HP latex printers with white solved recirculation, so white works perfectly.
Print21 fair in Belgrade has shown that the graphic industry has not slowed down in the past two years. Everyone in the industry is finding ways to adapt to the market and customer requirements. It seems to us that everything is going in a positive direction.
