S-Graf remains faithful to Ricoh technology by installing the Ricoh Pro C7500

The installation of the new Ricoh Pro C7500 is the reason why we visited the Slovenian printing house S-Graf in Domzale. Mr. Sandi Breznik, the owner and founder of the printing house, recalled the very beginnings of both the printing house and the introduction of Ricoh technology into production.

“Last year our business turned 30. I started with the production of vehicle stickers and advertisements. The first printing technology in the S-Graf plant was Xerox, and after that the era of Ricoh printers began.
Eight years ago, the first Ricoh Pro C7100 was installed. It was one of the first Ricoh B&W printers installed in the region. We chose Ricoh because of the possibility of printing white color and varnish. There were announcements of the possibility of upgrading to gold color as well, but that version arrived a few years later with the Ricoh Pro C7200 series. Until now, Ricoh has faithfully served our needs, but the time has come to add to our production the possibilities for which there are more and more demands on the market, especially the printing of gold, silver and IR colors”, says Mr. Breznik.

High class products with special colors

“We constantly have inquiries for higher class products with special colors – white, light, gold or silver. Up until now, we have done white and varnish at our own printing house, and handled gold or metallic colors through subcontractors. One color that will speed up our production a lot is invisible red – IR. We do a lot of tickets that need to have a security element that can be read with infrared light. Until now, we have done the protection manually with seals. The new IR color will allow us to immediately print the IR protective color in one pass, when printing tickets,” says Mr. Breznik.

In terms of print quality, the Ricoh Pro C7500 has a much finer print, excellent tonal transition, and white and other tones are even more opaque than the Ricoh Pro C7100.

As for the service, he says that they solve everything with Eurocop and points out that he is very satisfied. “In eight years, I have never waited longer than 24 hours for a service,” says Mr. Breznik.
